+ What tools & materials do you use?
I get asked this question so many times that I have put together a detailed list of the tools and materials I use here, as well as some handy tips for beginners on how to source your materials without breaking the bank here.
+ Are all of your prints originals?
Not always, no. I sell a mixture of original prints which are pressed by hand, and archival Giclée prints which are digitally printed to museum quality standard.
You can use the ‘filter’ tab at the top of my shop to browse different types of prints, or see the 'Materials' section of individual listings for details.
All prints come with a signed certificate of authenticity.
+ How do you sign/edition your prints?
All my prints are hand-signed and titled in pencil on the front of the artwork, and show the year of creation.
Most of the originals I offer are from open editions, meaning they are not numbered. The few limited edition prints I offer will include the edition number and edition size (for example 3/12), along with signature, title and year.
All original prints come with a signed certificate of authenticity, guaranteeing that what you receive is a genuine piece of original art.
Signature Stamps
On many of my original prints, I also include a small, hand-stamped signature motif below the image, printed from a tiny hand-carved stamp. I tend to redesign my signature stamps every once in a while (usually after a year or two of use), so there can be some variation in the way a print is signed depending on the year it was physically printed.
+ Are your prints from limited editions?
Most of my prints are from open editions: With original prints, this means that the lino-blocks they are printed from may be used to create an unlimited amount of prints and do not have to be 'retired'. In terms of Giclée prints, it means that the print run is not limited to a certain number.
I occasionally produce limited editions too. This information will always be included in my listing descriptions.
All original prints, from both open and limited editions, are signed by hand and come accompanied by a signed certificate of authenticity.
+ What if I want to return an item?
The absolute last thing I would want is for someone to own a piece of my art who is not 100% happy with it. For this reason, I am more than happy to accept returns for unused, undamaged items that you are not completely satisfied with. You can read more about my returns policy here.
